I use an Instagram feature that automatically locks me out for 60 minutes after 15 minutes of use — and I love it! It helps me cut down on digital consumption. A new study shows that students who voluntarily lock their phones improve their focus. Plus, they can earn points to exchange for gift cards. A smart reward system!

Rewards encourage less phone use

A study from Texas shows that rewards motivate teenagers more than restrictions when it comes to use their phones less. Through an app, they could set how long their phone would be locked. The longer the lock, the more points they earned, which could be exchanged for shopping vouchers. The result: less distraction and better grades. Source: SCIENCE X

UK advertising regulator bans fashion brand’s ads

The UK advertising regulator ASA has banned two Zara ads because the way the models were shown was considered a health risk. The ASA stopped Zara from running these ads and urged the brand to show more social responsibility in future campaigns. Source: BBC

Brazil’s Indigenous unveil their first own climate action plan
