Air quality in Europe improves
The air in Europe is becoming cleaner. According to the EU climate service Copernicus, key pollutant levels have been continuously decreasing for years. The main driver of this recent success is the transportation sector: thanks to the boom in electric vehicles, CO2 emissions in this sector dropped from 1.1 billion tons in 2019 to 1.05 billion tons last year. 31 new species discovered in the deep sea
