Paris is swimming in the Seine again

Hello dear Good News community,

I live in Berlin, not far from the Spree River—and especially with these warm temperatures, I wish so much that I could just jump into the cool water. But unfortunately, that is forbidden. Not so in the Seine in Paris: after last year’s premiere, there will be official swimming spots available there again this summer!

New Zealand creates five new marine protected areas

Paris reopens the Seine to tens of thousands of swimmers

Paris is reopening the Seine for swimming starting July 4th. Following last year’s rush of 100,000 visitors, swimmers will once again have access to three locations near the Eiffel Tower and Notre-Dame, as well as five swimming spots along the Marne River in the suburbs. Source: AAWSAT
