It’s Friday

It’s Friday again and here are this week’s posts.

Space Cop Diary (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)

A few days ago, I released my webcomic Space Cop Diary (Öffnet in neuem Fenster). The first four episodes are already available to read at kplx.art (Öffnet in neuem Fenster).

This project is intentionally simple. Each page is drawn in pencil in my sketchbook. After that, the pages are scanned, the text is added, and that’s it. No further digital polishing or refinement.

The result is sometimes rough and sketchy. Lines stay imperfect. Smudges remain visible. But maybe that raw look is a welcome contrast to the growing flood of ultra-smooth AI-generated images. I want to keep the process direct and honest — just pencil, paper, and ideas. More episodes are coming.

I’m looking forward to hearing your first impressions and thoughts on the new comic. I recommend starting here: Episode 1. (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)

#Inkfriday 7 Spine (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Black-and-white A4 ink drawing of a human spine transformed into a vertical, multi-level café. Platforms, staircases, and balconies are built into the vertebrae, where tiny anthropomorphic flies sit, drink, and socialize. At the bottom, the pelvis of the skeleton forms the largest café space. A glowing sign reading “Bone & Brew” hangs above the top vertebra. The scene is richly detailed with atmospheric lighting. (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)

Every Friday I’ll create a small or large ink drawing inspired by a single prompt word. Sometimes it will be quick and minimal, sometimes more detailed and time-consuming. If you feel like joining in, you’re very welcome to do so. You can draw along, interpret the prompts in your own way, skip weeks, jump in anytime, or simply use the words as inspiration for your own sketches and ideas. There are no rules, no pressure, and no expectations. All prompts → Inkfriday (Öffnet in neuem Fenster)

And that’s it for this week.

Have a great weekend!
