Loperamid (Imodium®) ist ein Opioid, das gegen Durchfall eingesetzt wird.Â
Da es hauptsächlich lokal im Darm wirkt und nicht die Blut-Hirn-Schranke überwinden kann beziehungsweise sofort wieder zurücktransportiert wird, kommt es in normaler Dosierung nicht zu psychotropen Wirkungen wie Euphorie, Sedierung oder Angstdämpfung.
