Ich hab diese Karten schon im Dezember verschickt, aber noch gar nicht gezeigt: Meine diesjährige Neujahrskarte „Annual Feedback“ war ein kleiner, unbeschwerter Fragebogen, mit dem ich Freund*innen und Familie angestiftet hab, kurz über ihr Jahr nachzudenken. Und weil ich davon immer ziemlich viele verschicke, dachte ich mir, ich lass diesmal die anderen schreiben. :) Jetzt auch in meinem Shop (Opens in a new window) erhältlich.
EN — New Year’s Card “Annual Feedback” — I sent these out in December but haven’t shown them yet: This year’s New Year’s card “Annual Feedback” was a small, light-hearted questionnaire to nudge friends and family into sharing a little reflection on their year. And since I send out quite a few of these, I figured I’d let others do the writing this time. :) Now also available in my shop (Opens in a new window).

Auch neu im Sortiment ist diese wirklich pfiffige Idee von mir selbst (Opens in a new window): Dieser Umschlag ist gleichzeitig ein schlichter Bilderrahmen aus Papier. Du kannst ein Foto, eine Illustration oder deinen ausgeschnittenen Lieblingshund reinsetzen, in einem Standard-Umschlag DIN A6 verschicken, und die empfangende Person kann ihn sofort aufhängen. Mitgelieferte Umschläge und Einlegekarten bestehen aus FSC-zertifiziertem Papier mit dem Blauen Engel und eignen sich unter anderem auch für das Standard-Fotoformat 9 × 13 cm.
EN — Paper Picture Frame Set — Also new in the shop is this really clever little idea of mine (Opens in a new window): The paper envelopes in this set double as a simple picture frame. You can insert a photo, illustration, or a cutout of your favorite pet, send it off, and the recipient can hang it up immediately. The included envelopes and insert cards are made from FSC-certified paper with the Blue Angel eco-label and are also compatible with the standard 9 × 13 cm photo format.
Instagram?
Wenn du meinem Instagram-Account folgst, hast du bestimmt schon gemerkt, dass es da ungewöhnlich ruhig geworden ist. Das hat zum einen damit zu tun, dass ich im September letzten Jahres einen neuen Job angefangen hab, der viel Aufmerksamkeit braucht. Zum anderen versuche ich schon länger, meine Internetgewohnheiten gesünder und meinen digitalen Fußabdruck kleiner zu machen, und in dem Kontext fühlt sich Instagram nicht mehr richtig an. Ich hab jedenfalls meine Inhalte rausgenommen, werde keine Beiträge mehr posten und freu mich irgendwie sehr, meinen Fokus jetzt stattdessen auf diesen Newsletter und andere Ideen zu lenken. Schön, dass du dabei bist.
EN — Instagram? — If you follow my Instagram account, you’ve probably already noticed that it’s gone unusually quiet there. Part of that is because I started a new job in September last year that takes up a lot of my attention. On top of that, I’ve been trying for a while to build healthier internet habits and reduce my digital footprint, and in that context, Instagram just doesn’t feel right anymore. Anyway, I’ve taken down my content, won’t be posting there anymore, and am honestly really excited to shift my focus to this newsletter and other ideas instead. Glad you’re here.

Wie viele andere hab ich Anfang letzten Jahres Pixelfed ausprobiert, und muss sagen, dass das leider auch nicht der Kanal war, den ich gesucht hab. Wenn ich mich so durch die leeren Feeds meiner Pixelfed-Kontakte klicke, ging es anderen wohl ähnlich. Aber ich mag das Fediverse und will dabei bleiben. Deswegen wird mein Mastodon-Account (Opens in a new window) künftig die Beiträge aus diesem Newsletter spiegeln, d.h. alles, was du hier liest, erscheint dann auch da. EN — Ah, and Pixelfed? — Like many others, I tried Pixelfed at the start of last year, and I have to say it wasn’t quite what I was looking for either. Scrolling through the empty feeds of my contacts there, it seems others felt the same way. But I like the Fediverse and want to stick around. So my Mastodon account (Opens in a new window) will from now on mirror the posts from this newsletter, meaning everything you read here will also show up there. If you’re on Mastodon, come say hi!
