Canada’s Piper Gilles/Paul Poirier look back at a very long and successful career. They have collected five World medals and Olympic bronze.

This was your 13th World Championship together, how did you experience this event?
Piper: It was good. It was so funny in a way that it felt slightly different than a normal World Championships because I feel like we already accomplished our goal of this season at the Olympics with the bronze medal. This felt like a bonus competition and we just kind of lifted the weight of it even though it still had the same pressure of competing backstage. You still feel the nerves and the energy and the excitement but I think at the end of the day before starting the program we chose to be here because we wanted to skate and perform in Prague. I think it's pretty cool that we can have that power and that choice to make the decision to come here. We had a great time and I'm happy we did come. The Prague crowd was amazing. These are one of the crowds that we'll remember for a long long time and to see skating have a resurgence in a country that doesn't have a lot of skating right at the moment I think is exciting. It just brings fresh eyes for this country. It's been fun.
Right, it was great to see that so many fans came and proved wrong all this talk about skating not being popular anymore.
Paul: Skating is well alive
