I don’t care

What is the weirdest thing you have ever seen on public transport? And did you care? Do you care when someone is unpacking and repacking their luggage? Do you care when someone is doing their makeup?

You probably don't care. You are not interested.

But would you tell them that? Probably not. When someone asks you whether you mind if they quickly repack their rucksack on the seat next to you, you would not say “I don’t care.”

This episode is about the difference between the things you don’t care about, the things you don’t mind, and the things you do, actually, mind.

No matter whether your English is completely indifferent to the idiosyncratic behaviour of other people, or whether it occasionally lies when it pretends “not to mind”: this episode is for you.
