Over 40 essential artist guides are now live on tQ

After five years of our subscription platform with Steady, and responding to your feedback in our recent survey, we're marking our seventeenth (!) birthday today by launching your new perks, as our Subscriber Plus tier supporters. The monthly download we’ve been running since September 2020 had pretty much run its course, and our feedback was that what Subscribers wanted was more playlists. With that in mind, you the single roundup playlists will now be bolstered by an extra seven especially curated playlists per month. This antidote to the algorithm will all be featured alongside our editorial and sent out in email updates and can be found on the site here (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), with a selection from:
Interviews: Think of this as the best possible compilation of tracks from our most loved artists, covering must hear bangers, deep cuts, rarities and fan favourite anthems.
Baker’s Dozen: A sonic accompaniment to our most popular feature – eavesdrop on the soundtrack that helped shape the life of each of our Baker’s Dozen artists.
Strange World Of: We give you 20 points of entry into a cult artist back catalogue that might have formerly felt too overwhelming or massive or off-putting to navigate before.
We’re launching this new feature with 39 brand new playlists from 39 core Quietus artists to go with archive editorial: so that’s hours and hours of essential listening from John Cale, Pulp, Candi Staton, PJ Harvey, SunnO))), Electric Wizard, Bjork, Autechre, Scott Walker, Kate Bush, Wu-Tang Clan, Kevin Martin, Deftones, Dennis Bovell, Tom Jones, Marianne Faithful, Lydia Lunch, Mark Lanegan, Rob Halford, Kathleen Hannah, George Clinton, Johnny Marr, J-Lin, Richard Dawson, Basic Channel, Odd Future, Einstürzende Neubauten, Tori Amos, Low, Laurie Anderson, Madlib, Fugazi, David Sylvian Alice Coltrane, Yoko Ono, Robbie Basho, Idris Ackamoor and St Etienne. Access all these playlists here (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre).
Thank you so much for all your support of what we do. We would not have made it to these seventeen years without you.
Big love from Luke, John and all at tQHQ.
