Dec 8, 1955. Tolkien writes letters 176 (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) and 177 (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), mostly about The Lord of the Rings (1955 radio series) (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre).
Dec 9, 1959. Tolkien writes Letter 222 (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), promising to work on translations of two poems for publication. Note The translations of these two poems, plus Sir Orfeo (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), were not published until 1975, after Tolkien's death.
Dec 10, 1944. Tolkien writes letter 91c (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), on World War II.
Dec 12, 1955. Tolkien (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) writes Letter 178 (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre), on the inspiration for the Shire (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre).
