Film Recommendation

Writing out to you all in the depths of a FOMO-induced stupor, as my colleague Hannah Strong sups extra-strength spritzes and gets to see the cream of world cinema on a little crescent of sand on the outskirts of Venice. Of course, if you’re keeping up with our coverage (Si apre in una nuova finestra) (which you should be!) all these will make for ample future viewing fodder.

In the spirit of the fact that a new Guillermo del Toro film (Si apre in una nuova finestra) has premiered on the Lido, I thought it might be nice for us all to do a bit of deep research and hark back to that shortish window when he was working as a studio gun-for-hire.
