Treadmill problems

For the past few years, I've been trying to get into a running routine. I actually enjoy running, but I don’t run as often as I would like to. I like running, but I don’t like rain, and ice, and hay fever. So I bought a treadmill. And now I have a new problem: Yes, it would be great if the treadmill could help me to run more – but does that still count as running?

Maybe you have views on running or treadmills – maybe not. But I believe that most of us have, at some point in our lives, been suspicious of a solution to a problem because we felt that it was “cheating”. How often does our idea of the “proper” way of doing something get in the way of a simple solution?

No matter whether your English thrives without any friction, or whether it occasionally gets in its own way: This episode is for you.
