Ruling against AI deepfakes: Grok feature banned

A court in the Netherlands has prohibited the AI "Grok" from creating sexualized images of individuals without their consent. Violations could result in fines of up to €100,000 per day. It is one of the first rulings of its kind against AI-generated deepfakes. Source: AL JAZEERA

Etsy bans the sale of fur products

Marine protection milestone: Ten percent of the oceans officially protected

Portugal introduces deposit system to tackle low recycling rates

With a recycling rate of only three percent, Portugal currently ranks last in the EU. The new "Volta" deposit system aims to change that: since April 10, bottles and cans up to three liters incur a ten-cent deposit.
