Just in time for today’s opening ceremony of the Frankfurt Book Fair, with the Philippines as guest of honour, we are publishing a short story by Filipino diaspora author Cecilia Manguerra Brainard, whose theme could hardly be more fitting for the opening of the book fair: ‘The One-Night Stand at the Frankfurt Book Fair’.
