Alone in anxiety

Darkness is surrounding me, squeezing, choking – I can’t breathe

Thoughts on loop in an endless cycle – gripping my mind

Heart hammering, sweating in my skin

In a painful delusion – only feeling the swarm of thought

Tossed between guilt and shame – imagining the worst

No one to talk to; feel with – endless spiral of pain with no release
