Love like sunsets

Maybe we should love people like sunsets:
know that they will arrive at a different time each day,
know that they will show you various shades,
know that the horizon will always be out of reach,
know that the moments are eclipses and not forever,
know that in the night, the moon will keep guard,
know that the stories will remain, like reflections on the water, as we are
and then fade out,
