Die Mariendistel, botanisch als Silybum marianum bekannt, ist eine Heilpflanze, die zur Familie der Korbblütler (Asteraceae) gehört. Sie ist vor allem im Mittelmeerraum beheimatet, wächst aber auch in Teilen Mitteleuropas.
