In high school, we are taught that having sex can lead to a few things...mostly either an STD or a baby. If you went to a catholic school like I did...it was sex is bad, don't do it, it's a sin, etc. But, I chose not to listen...I had a kid while I was in college...but let's back up a little...yall..getting pregnant is the easy part. They don't tell us that our hips will start to hurt the further along you get. They don't tell us that the pain of the Braxton Hicks is NOTHING like actual labor. They don't bother to let us know that NOTHING is the same once you have a baby. You'll never sleep the same again. You will have anxiety over the littlest things. Then, as if the first time isn't enough, you go and do it again because "the first baby wasn't THAT hard...." then you sit there and compare how crappy your second pregnancy is...because they don't tell you that your baby's head is freaking huge...and by the time you find out you're being sent to the OR for an emergency C section. They don't tell us that the recovery from a c section is BULL...it's definitely NOT the easy way out. But what they do tell us, is that you eventually forget the pain...all because you look at your baby and realize that all is right with that sweet precious newborn alien potato in your arms. Yes, you'll be tired and anxious and depressed, but you'll also feel a love you never felt before. So yeah, there were things they never told us...but they were things that are surpassed by the love you feel for the tiny human.
