This week, we ask DJs, nail artists, journalists, jewellery designers, photographers and more to share how they set up their creative workspace from home.
Whether it’s at your kitchen table, a make-shift office, or simply from bed, every creative carves out their own version of a workspace. While many of us dream of working from a dedicated creative studio, the reality – especially for those at the start of their career – is that rising rent costs often make that out of reach. For lots of emerging creatives, working from home isn’t just practical; it’s necessary.
But that doesn’t mean it has to be any less inspiring. These spaces, no matter how compact or improvised, are where ideas take shape between mugs of tea, where inspiration lives on vision boards and scribbled post-it notes, and where the line between “housemate” and “sounding board” is blurred.
Below, we asked eight multi-disciplinary creatives to share how they’ve made their home setups work for them.
