Gli italiani nella guerra d’Indocina

Tra i reparti dell’esercito francese che combattono nella guerra d’Indocina c’è la famosa Legione straniera. Nata nel 1831, da subito gli italiani hanno costituito una delle nazionalità più rappresentate. Negli anni della guerra di Indocina, numerosi italiani si arruolano nella Legione straniera: spinti dalla miseria, o perché non riescono a trovare un posto nell’Italia del dopoguerra, o perché emigrano clandestinamente in Francia, vengono arrestati e vengono posti davanti alla scelta tra carcere e legione. Italiani finiti nella risaie del Vietnam, a combattere, e morire, per la Francia. Storie dimenticate, che meritano di tornare alla luce.
