Film Recommendation

Today is a shout-out to a great movie, but also to a really interesting and unique movie streaming service. I’d often seen US followers on social media bigging up a platform called TUBI, which was billed as a free movie streaming service, with the catch that you do have a few ad breaks while you watch.

When it launched in the UK, I took a peep and was kinda wowed by the films they had on offer – lots of leftfield, slipped-though-the-cracks genre films, but also a second tier of Hollywood product that was mostly culled from the time I was going to the cinema in my teens (think late ’90s). And the ad breaks aren’t that bad – it’s not like when you try and watch a film on one of the disreputable digital channels and there’s an ad break every ten minutes.
