New lab-grown placenta could replace animal testing in pregnancy research

Rare natural phenomenon at Lake Garda
For the first time in 20 years, the waters of Lake Garda have undergone complete vertical mixing. Oxygen-rich water from the surface reached the bottom, while nutrient-rich deep water rose to the top—a vital process for the ecosystem. This was triggered by strong northern winds in early April.
