Last month I played & reviewed Caught in the Rain, from an Australian studio. Today I’m excited to share my play report for a second game coming from the land-down-under — this time, a cozy journaling TTRPG centered around honest animals and friendly storefronts.

Fox Curio’s Floating Bookshop (Öffnet in neuem Fenster) is a cheerful, not-so-little title about selling books upon the River. In it, you play an animalfolk in a region populated by other animalfolk. You buy, discover, inherit, or otherwise acquire a floating bookshop, and then, beginning from the first thaw of Bloom, you open your doors to the merry (and sometimes not-so-merry) folk along the River.
Early next week I’ll be posting a full game review, and later this month, we’ll have more action, guaranteed. Today, however, subscribers get an early sneak preview on the comfy riverboat.
Let’s get started!
