“Computer says no”

“Computer says no.”

This line from the British comedy series Little Britain describes an experience that we all know: We want to do something, and a computer system somewhere says: No. You don’t have access. Your application has been rejected. This is the wrong password. There is no record of your order.

This is very annoying.

And yet – what if computers said “no” more often in our daily lives?

How many tasks would be done by a human brain instead of a digital one?

And which tasks would not be done at all?

No matter if your English has DeepL on speed dial, or whether it loves thinking through a problem alone: This episode is for you.
