Global climate action has stalled. Starting today, the focus at the UN Climate Conference in Belém, Brazil, will be sharpened. One thing should be clear to everyone: global warming is progressing. I’m an optimistic person and hope that everyone understands the urgency of climate action—because there is no Plan B.

Paris eliminates paper metro tickets
After 125 years, Paris is ending the sale of traditional paper metro tickets. Instead, the city is switching to digital cards and smartphone tickets.
