Today we spoke with Jeff Bruette, a veteran software engineer and game developer who was a key figure at Commodore during the early 1980s. Jeff is known for programming popular Commodore 8-bit games like Wizard of Wor and Gorf. Beyond game programming, Jeff played a famous role in the launch of the Amiga computer – he was the Commodore engineer who taught Andy Warhol how to use the Amiga and helped him create his digital art portrait of Debbie Harry live on stage in 1985, With a career spanning game development, computer graphics in Hollywood, and even entrepreneurial ventures, Jeff has a wealth of stories from the golden age of computing.
