Hey there. This is the first post coming from my new steady.page (Abre numa nova janela) after moving away from Substack. I’m working on moving things for more autonomy. And this is one of those.
With the move, I also want to kick off the new Newsletter style I am going for. Back in the days, I had a newsletter with three sections. Something I learned, something I liked, and a wild thought. I might bring that back in some form, as I had much fun writing these and sharing more real things. 🤓
I also plan to write long-form articles on my new project, but overall I intend to focus on creating more stuff that people like to engage with. Long-form content pieces via email are not that. 🧠⚡
Launching Nerdwerk
I launched a new Website: Nerdwerk.com (Abre numa nova janela) … and it’ll be the home of my new professional brand and voice. A strong focus on tech and product and the people behind all of it, with extra attention on Europe and Open Source.
I actually wanted to create this project almost 15 years ago, when I got started in tech. But I did not … now, I have the .dev and the .com domain and am ready to elevate the whole project.
Personal things
This newsletter will also be about the stuff that happens beyond the shiny articles and polished work. It’s a personal one. And one thing that just occupies a lot of space in my head is the state of the world right now. I hope that all of you, my dear readers, are safe. It’s crazy, and I think it’s important to not fall too deep into this cycle of frustration and helplessness. At least something I sometimes struggle with.
