The Book Vilāpa Kusumāñjali

In this book Śrīla Raghunātha dāsa Gosvāmī, who is one of the six Gosvāmīs around Caitanya Mahāprabhu, is describing his spiritual visions of the līlā of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa in the form of a mañjarī, a servant of Rādhārāṇī. In his svarūpa-veśa, his spiritual form, he is Tulasī Mañjarī, a young girl who assists Rādhā in bathing, dressing, putting on ornaments, treatments, etc. In this sevā, Tulasī Mañjarī/Raghunātha dāsa is oscillating between connection and separation, emphasizing the mood of separation (vipralambha-bhāva) as the same spiritual ecstasy as meeting (sambandha, milana)—or even higher.

We are discussing topics like rāgānugā-bhakti, mādhurya-rasa, the pastimes of Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa, Caitanya-līlā, etc. Pratibha is an expert in narrating the transcendental līlās in a very rasik and sweet mood.

Pratibhā is an authentic Bṛjabāsī, an inhabitant of Vṛndāvana since her birth, and naturally connected in a sweet and personal way with Rādhey-jū and Ṭhākur-jī (Radha and Krishna). Her feelings, bhāvas, are unique and astonishing. Her love for the Divine Couple flows from every pore.

As a female, she is not affected by male identity and is very close to the sentiments of the gopis, the milkmaids in the divine līlā.
