Poetry is all around – you just have to learn to see it.

I feel like sometimes we overlook the essentials simply because we are moving too fast. In our daily lives, we rush through streets and parks, oblivious to the many interesting things and details that surround us. This is precisely where my "SEE MORE" workshop comes in.

I also call it contemplative or poetic photography: a conscious, slow way of looking, where seeing and observing take center stage. It is not about technique or perfection, but about the feeling that arises when you take your time and, camera in hand, discover the rhythm of the world right on your doorstep.

I love photographing the small within the large, the stillness within the hustle and bustle, the poetic within the everyday, in parks, by the river, on streets and squares. I play with light, blur, textures, and minimalism. And I often discover that every image born from truly seeing can express more than a thousand words.

The Leica Akademie Germany has convened me some years ago. They just finalized the 2026 workshop schedule. I will be offering "SEE MORE" in the cities of Stuttgart, Wetzlar, Nuremberg, and Hamburg. Each workshop will last 2.5 days and include inspiring presentations, guided photo walks, and in-depth image analyses. These workshops are for anyone who enjoys discovery, regardless of the camera they use.

MEHR SEHEN – Poetische Fotografie

Die Poesie liegt auf der Straße – man muss nur lernen, sie zu sehen.

Manchmal übersehen wir das Wesentliche, einfach weil wir zu schnell sind.

Im Alltag rauschen wir durch Straßen und Parks und merken gar nicht, wie viele interessante Dinge und Details uns umgeben. Genau hier setzt mein Workshop „MEHR SEHEN“ an.

Ich nenne es auch kontemplative oder poetische Fotografie: ein bewusstes, achtsames Schauen, bei dem das Sehen und Beobachten im Vordergrund steht. Es geht nicht um Technik oder Perfektion, sondern um das Gefühl, das entsteht, wenn man sich Zeit nimmt und mit der Kamera in der Hand den Rhythmus der Welt direkt vor der eigenen Haustüre entdeckt.

Ich fotografiere gerne das Kleine im Großen, das Stille im Trubel, das Poetische im Alltäglichen, in Parks, am Fluss, auf Straßen und Plätzen. Ich spiele dann mit Licht, Unschärfe, Strukturen und Minimalismus. Und ich entdecke oft, dass jedes Bild, das aus richtigem Sehen entsteht, mehr ausdrücken kann als tausend Worte.

Gerade wurden die neuen Workshops der Leica Akademie Deutschland, die mich vor ein paar Jahren berufen hat, für 2026 festgelegt. Ich werde „MEHR SEHEN“ in mehreren Städten anbieten: Stuttgart, Wetzlar, Nürnberg und Hamburg. Jeweils 2,5 Tage, mit inspirierendem Input, gemeinsamen Fotowalks und intensiver Bildanalyse. Es sind Workshops für alle, die Freude am Entdecken haben, egal mit welcher Kamera.
