Like an Ocean of Nectar (VK 12.1)
Vilāpa-kusumāñjali Verse 12 | Pratibha Goswami
The verse:
"O Kalyāni (auspicious girl)! When will the jingling of Your anklebells—like an ocean of nectarean rasa—cure my deafness?"
The jingling of the ankle bells of Rādhey-ju is one of the most cherished sounds in the spiritual world—the perfect counterpart to Kṛṣṇa’s flute. Together, Rādhey-ju and Ṭhākur-jī create the sweetest music and dance, enchanting all of Vraja.
In this verse, Govinda Dāsa Bābājī, speaking in his sakhī-form to Rādhā, describes the deep suffering of Kṛṣṇa when He feels separation from Her. Listen to the exalted devotional state of Govinda Dāsa Bābājī, and hear the lila that brought Kṛṣṇa to the depths of despair.
