Awakening Global Consciousness with Dr Roger Nelson

We are delighted to announce that the first speaker in our new series of talks on human consciuossness will be Dr Roger Nelson from the Princeton Centre for Global Consciousness.

Roger is the director of the Global Consciousness Project (Opens in a new window)(GCP), an international, multidisciplinary collaboration of scientists and engineers now based at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (Opens in a new window) .

Since its launch at Princeton in 1997, the GCP has been gathering data continuously from a global network of physical random number generators located in up to 70 host sites around the world.

The purpose is to examine subtle correlations that may reflect the presence and activity of consciousness in the world.

About Dr Roger Nelson

Roger Nelson, PhD, is Director of the Global Consciousness Project (GCP).

He studied physics at the University of Rochester, and experimental psychology at New York University and Columbia.

He was Professor of Psychology at Johnson State College in northern Vermont, and in 1980 joined Princeton University's PEAR lab to coordinate research.

He is the author or co-author of more than 100 technical papers and three books: Connected: the Emergence of Global Consciousness (English) and Der Welt-Geist: wie wir alle miteinander verbunden sind and Die Welt-Kraft in Dir (German) with Georg Kindel.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, California and lives in lives in Ithaca, NY with his wife Reinhilde (Lefty) Luedtke. He has one son, Greg.
