Madra: The Cat Named “Dog”

For this week’s Caturday, I want to celebrate my little munchkin cat, Madra, who passed away on June 3 at 17 years old. Her name is the Irish word for “dog,” something that my late sister always wanted to do with a cat. We adopted her in September of 2009 and she was always a perfect angel— never biting, scratching, hissing, or anything. She got along with every other cat and visitor to the house, often sitting in the studio with my students during lessons and watching the process. The worst she’d do was run into the basement in the middle of the night if the door hadn’t been fully secured and then she would run around and squawk until you either ran down and got her or she ran upstairs while you were halfway down them.

I want the pictures to do the talking here as I’m still very upset over everything that’s happened this week. I love you.
