What makes us who we are? What story does a posture tell? What experiences hide behind an expression or a gaze?
I love observing people and catching glimpses of the stories they carry.
Growing up half Vietnamese, I was confronted with questions of identity early on. The constant need to explain and categorize myself often felt limiting.
From this came a longing for a space where there is room simply to be — to perceive without judgment. A space where we allow ourselves to be surprised and amazed, again and again.
Through my paintings, I wish to open that space.
