I am not a massive fan, but when I lived in the UK, I realised very quickly just how deeply this season is ingrained in my sense of how the year is organised.

Sometimes you need to go to a different place, experience different celebrations, and maybe encounter people in Roman togas to realise how your sense of time is connected to “home”.
