Re-fighting the last election

“I don’t think you can win the next election by re-fighting the last one.”

I heard that sentence in an interview with the journalist Ezra Klein, and it struck me as a take on the idea that you should “live in the present”. Rather than seeing each new challenge as an opportunity to fix a problem we had in the past, we need to look at the present moment.

In which areas of your life do you feel like you are re-fighting past elections?

And, of course: Whether your English-relationship feels like a series of “lost elections”, or whether you are trying to re-create successful “English campaigns” from the past - this episode is for you.
