In July, we published two blog posts discussing the future of cohesion policy, as well as one post on the EU's efforts to encourage young people to participate in policymaking.
The EU’s next budget – a territorial perspective on the MMF 2028–2034 proposal. A few days after the budget proposal was published, this blog post offered an initial reaction and assessed its potential to deliver territorial cohesion. By institutionalising youth-mainstreaming tools such as the Youth Check and promoting civil society–led instruments such as the Youth Test, as well as creating participatory spaces through YEYS, the EU is moving towards a form of governance that is both youth-inclusive and future-oriented.
