Community Journalism project comes to an end

That’s a wrap on the VIEWdigital Community Journalism Project, with the last course rolled out in March. Over the past 12 months, media professionals Una Murphy and Jude Hill-Mitchell worked with Brian Pelan, editor, to trained up migrant women and disabled people from Belfast and beyond, who are not well represented in the media, to co-create and publish factual stories on our website. International Women’s Day screening of migrant women’s stories

Short films on migrant women’s stories have been screened in Belfast to mark International Women’s Day. Women’s Health: underinvestment, inaction and neglect – must end
Endometriosis Awareness Month has been taking place in March, with campaigners aiming to raise understanding of a condition that affects thousands of women. Review: GROUP! delivers a wild night with chaotic brilliance at the Lyric Theatre

Conor Mitchell’s GROUP! returns to the Lyric Theatre after 24 years as a benchmark show for the theatre’s 75th anniversary. It explores the classic setting of a group therapy environment, with each member representing a persona in modern Belfast society. We step into the incredulous world of these characters, who have been attending for 15 weeks, but when a new arrival, Amy, enters the scene, it becomes the final straw before chaos unfolds.
