The Houses of Healing

Here’s the Annual Tolkien Lecture that I delivered last week at the University of Birmingham. It showcases some of the ideas that are going into Tolkien’s Mirror, my main current project and – with a fair wind – my next book. I’m pleased with the talk, which seems to show that I can indeed finally do without a painstakingly crafted 5,000-word script when I stand up at the lectern.
