I go for a walk with my dog every day—and I love it! When he's not with me and we miss our lunchtime walk, I really feel the difference. The movement, the break from an often stressful day - it just feels good. And it’s great for your health, too, as a new study from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology shows. UK decriminalizes abortions
The British parliament has overturned a Victorian-era law. Abortions in England and Wales will no longer be considered a criminal offence. Coal mines turned into solar power plants
Abandoned coal mines could be transformed into solar farms capable of generating enough electricity to power a country the size of Germany. New map shows global reforestation potential
Researchers have released new maps showing where reforestation would be most effective in combating the climate crisis - places like western Canada or Colombia. Reconnecting the forests for Java gibbons
The habitat of the critically endangered Javan gibbons has drastically shrunk due to fragmented forest areas. The local NGO SwaraOwa is working to change that: by planting so-called forest corridors, they aim to reconnect isolated patches of forest—allowing the gibbons to move freely, find food, and reproduce.
