Crossing Bridges

Do you know the expression “We’ll cross that bridge when we come to it”? It means: We will deal with this problem when - and if - it happens. We are not standing in front of that particular bridge yet, and maybe we never will.

When we are making plans for the future, we know: Whatever happens, there will be bridges to cross. And we have very little influence over their size, or over the condition they are in.

So rather than worrying about the bridges ahead, I want to encourage you to remember the bridges you have crossed in the past, the strengths that got you to the other side, and the people who cheered you on.
