What is is about, you may ask — perhaps not being a Native German speaker?

In the lyrics I tried to pin down what longterm relationships can be:

The idea is that every five years (“Alle 5 Jahr”) we develop as people and we might turn a little, sometimes even faster than the other person.

To me, it seemed like turning by five degrees (“dreh ich mich 5 Grad”) seemed a reasonable, yet significant amount of change which can lead to crises.

So people in these relationships change, clash, maybe even lose each other for a bit — but what if they stay together, not in spite of the fractures, but because of them?

Whilst filming the video, I actually realised that ERNST as a band also is a longterm relationship between five people. That’s why I chose to add a few older videos, going back to our roots and celebrating this wonderful musical project!
