Hospital

Observing all around me - quickened pace, scrubs and coffee in hand - to go, of course. Everything immacutely clean, bright, white except for the friendly blues and greens of the corridor. I walk past a Starbucks, which promises an enormous creamy, frappe alongside a sugary pastry, at vending machines loaded with crisps, chocolate, sweets, soft drinks, at shelves of M&S heaving with biscuits... and marvel in despairing bewilderment at the sheer irony of it all.

We may be intelligent, but we are also incredibly stupid.
