Noise with a purpose

Last month we turned our amps up for equality at the FRAUEN*Streik in front of the Austrian parliament! 📱

FRAUEN*Streik

Inspired by the Icelandic women's strike, which celebrated its 50th anniversary on October 24, 2025, the FRAUEN*Streik committee (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenĂȘtre) in Vienna organised Austria’s second women’s strike this year.

The demands are clear:

To eliminate the inequality of all genders and fight a patriarchal system that exploits women*.

The strike is a means to show how the world would come to a standstill if women* stopped their carework, household duties and general work.

People lying down together in front of parliament

Against exhaustion! Wealth for all genders!

Be there! Join us! Get involved!

Lie down! Lie across! Do nothing!

Our band’s values are very much aligned with these demands, so we offered to perform a few protest songs.

The strike was really well organised and hundreds of people turned up to lie down in unison and voice their own visions in front of everyone.

We were so happy with people dancing along to our songs, even with a barrier in between us ❀

Save the date:

On 9th March 2026, we will strike again! (and again and again and again thereafter until we change things around for the better!)

An honest question

On a completely different note:

Would you be willing to support us and our independent approach to making music? Because we’re thinking of creating a membership through this newsletter! đŸ€—

Why, you’re asking?

Unfortunately, we live in world where only very few artists can make a living from their art. The rest of us have to invest our own money into what we do.

Some bands therefore use platforms like Patreon or Bandcamp to get financial support from their fans, providing extra insights and special material in return.

We are thinking about doing a similar thing. Just to be sure:

This monthly newsletter will continue to be free but there would be extra content available for those willing to go the extra mile:

  • New demos

  • Early access to music videos, new singles and merch

  • Cheaper pre-sale tickets

  • Special tiny gigs organised only for members

We would love to hear your opinion on this:

Would you please fill out this short form (only 5 questions)? 😊

Thanks so much for your help!

We’ll be supporting Sylmar (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenĂȘtre), a band from Cincinnati (US) who will be touring through Europe in November.

28 November at Loop Vienna. Stop by!

» Presale tickets are available here (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenĂȘtre).
