Die Autophagie, auch als Autophagozytose bekannt, ist ein lebenswichtiger Prozess in den Zellen, bei dem beschädigte Bestandteile wie Organellen – also spezialisierte Strukturen innerhalb der Zellen –, Proteine und krankmachende Elemente abgebaut werden.
