Do you need a Middle-earth inspired shelf company?

I have been scouring the net for all things Tolkien ever since the first search engines appeared - WebCrawler (Opens in a new window), Lycos (Opens in a new window), HotBot (Opens in a new window), Yahoo! Search (Opens in a new window), Ask.com (Opens in a new window) etc. And about twenty years ago I started seeing very odd search results like Middle Earth Leod UG & Co. KG, Middle Earth Lorlas Verwaltung UG, Aachen, or Middle Earth Lorlas Salrol UG & Co. KG.

There seems to be a reason for that - or rather, an individual running a very particular service. A shelf company company. 😅
