Mulling over mulled wine

We’ve been holed up in the studio recording our new single and after a support show last week we’re now stripping things down for an intimate acoustic set at the Christmas market.

How recording went

The day in Mario Fartacek’s studio was, yet again, a great (if also exhausting) one! We were able to finalise the recording of our new song 5 Grad which we will release early next year 🙂

Stay tuned…

(although there are rumours that we might play the new song as a stripped down version at the Christmas market on 4th December [see below] 🤫!)

Support Show

On 28 November, we enjoyed playing at Loop Vienna opening the night for Sylmar from Cincinnati (US):

In other news

First of all, we have some big news:

Our former label, Raspberry Soda, will continue as a sub-label of the Austrian label Feber Wolle (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre).

You might have heard music of some of their emerging artists like LEETA, Neps, Picobello or Kleinabaoho.

We’re very happy to be part and release our upcoming singles under Feber Wolle’s umbrella!

Christmas (Market) with ERNST 🎄

We’re excited for this Thursday, 4th November: Nicki and Dan will be playing an acoustic (unplugged!) set at Spittelberg Christmas Market in Vienna.

We’ll perform a few slow ERNST songs and maybe one or two Christmassy songs … come join us in front of the VTMÖ "Musik ab Hof" stand (S'ouvre dans une nouvelle fenêtre) stand (no. 13) and have some mulled wine to get warm! 🍷

P.S.: You can also buy our vinyl at the stand ... if you’re still looking for a Christmas present for a friend with good musical taste 🤭

ERNST Membership

We know, you’ve seen the next section before and we also know that there is little time to fill out forms. However, we would be eternally grateful for 2 minutes of your time!

Would you be willing to support us and our independent approach to making music? Because we’re thinking of creating a membership through this newsletter! 🤗

Why, you’re asking?

Unfortunately, we live in world where only very few artists can make a living from their art. The rest of us have to invest our own money into what we do.

Some bands therefore use platforms like Patreon or Bandcamp to get financial support from their fans, providing extra insights and special material in return.

We are thinking about doing a similar thing. Just to be sure:

This monthly newsletter will continue to be free but there would be extra content available for those willing to go the extra mile:

  • New demos

  • Early access to music videos, new singles and merch

  • Cheaper pre-sale tickets

  • Special tiny gigs organised only for members

We would love to hear your opinion on this:

Would you please fill out this short form (only 5 questions)? 😊

Thanks so much for your help!
